Long HAIR
Although long hair is often considered to be hard to manage, it is actually one of the most versatile hair styles. Tangling can be lessened by detangling before shampooing and carefully washing the hair without piling it on top of the head and bunching it. To reduce tangling, work the shampoo down the length of the hair from top to bottom. Think of milking a cow. Rinse and end with a cold water final rinse for shine.

When using conditioner on long hair, the conditioner should be concentrated at the ends of the hair to avoid splitting. Rather than blow drying and flat ironing the hair, try natural hair care methods to reduce damage and help prevent dry, brittle damaged hair. Use wide tooth combs on wet hair and not hair brushes.

Natural hair care methods provide a wavy look without applying heat, which can damage long hair. Braid the hair when it is wet and take it down after the hair has dried. You can also put the hair up in a knot, or wear braids or pony tails for a fast, natural hair style that works well for all hair types.
Short HAIR
People with short hair find short hair styles more flattering when the hair style compliments the facial shape. There are seven face shapes, including diamond, heart, oval, rectangle, round, square and triangular. Selecting the right hair styles based on facial shapes and hair types is the most effective method for choosing a style that makes you look your best.

Diamond shaped faces are narrow in the forehead and the chin, but wider at the sides of the face. For this face shape, short hair that is full at the crown works to balance the width in the cheeks.

Heart shaped faces have wide foreheads and smaller chins. This face shape looks great with a layered bob or asymmetrical hair cut. Oval face shapes have high foreheads and narrow, rounded chin. This type of short hair looks great with any cut.

Rectangular face shapes are long with a defined jaw and chin. This shape looks best with a chin or shoulder length haircut, rather than super short styles. The slightly longer hair styles work to move the attention away from the length of the face and soften the look. Bangs or some fringe around the front of the face also has a softening effect.

Round face shapes have wide jaws and foreheads. The shape requires layers and a soft hair style to skin the roundness of the face, especially around the ears. Bringing the layers toward the face in short hair cuts or asymmetrical cuts, rather than away from the face suits this type of face.

A square face has a wide forehead and jaw. This face shape needs volume at the crown to offset the angular features of the face. If your face is triangular shaped, all short hair styles work well with the exception of styles with too much height at the crown.
Curly HAIR
Curly hair is one of the more challenging hair types. Curly hair can be dry or frizzy hair. When styling your hair, avoid products that contain alcohol, detangle the hair while it is wet and then allow the hair to dry. Straightening products contain harsh chemicals that damage the hair and result in hair loss, so avoid these products and use natural hair care methods to style your hair.
Fine HAIR
Fine hair is suited to shorter hair styles. Short hair cuts look best on fine hair and the styles shouldn’t be layered too much to provide the illusion of thicker hair. Avoid excess heat and harsh styling methods that will cause split ends and breakage. Choose natural hair care products and avoid strong detergents and hairsprays that contain alcohol. These products dry out the hair.
Thick HAIR
Thick hair or course hair offers volume and versatility. Thick hair can have a tendency to look bushy, so try layering thick hair to reduce the volume. When the hair is curly, the hair cut should accentuate the curl and use natural styling methods. Thick hair can be dry and may get brittle with the overuse of hair products and applying heat to the hair. Stay away from the curling iron and style your hair using natural hair care techniques to reduce frizz and prevent damage.
Frizzy HAIR
The hair can become frizzy in hot and humid weather. When the hair is dry, damaged or brittle, it becomes frizzy hair. To counterbalance the frizziness, carefully select a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Select natural hair care products for frizzy hair that will moisturize and replenish the hair. Avoid blow drying or curling the hair and shampoo on alternating days and avoid products that offer extra body or add volume to the hair.

To treat frizzy hair, Hairobics offers nourishing moisturizing shampoo and hair conditioners that are formulated to help the hair retain moisture to reduce frizz. Our recommended treatment products include the scalp rejuvenator and hair oil. The hair should be cut in layers to reduce volume and have the layers trimmed at least once every eight weeks. You should wear a hat in the sun to avoid sunburn on the hair.
Oily HAIR
Oily hair can benefit from our Sea Kelp shampoo, which is designed to cleanse the hair and scalp and provide essential nutrients that are suitable for all hair types. If you have oily hair, use our oily hair shampoo daily and avoid using conditioners. Hair conditioners, including leave-in conditioners make oily hair look worse. Brush oily hair twice each day to distribute the oils throughout the hair to prevent the hair having a dirty appearance.
